There is no reason for me to love my son
He’s done nothing for me
I do it all-
Change nappies, feed & clothe him.
I cook and clean and do
Yet something stirs within me..

Despite it looking all one way
I provide, I care, I protect
There is this feeling, a deep unchanging buzz
The word is of course LOVE

An exciting, full and abounding Love
That fills my life with joy
It makes me miss him when he goes to sleep
And each morning a peace I contently live in
He is mine

The more I look and learn and grow
The more I see a reflection shown
Of one who feels and acts like me
One who loves unconditionally
I am His

I get a glimpse of the Fathers love
The one who gave it all
Who,though He gains nothing from me would choose me over a throne
He places orphans in families, Heals the sick, Feeds the hungry
Would give His life to call me Beloved
…What love is this for me

Sometimes I can’t think too long of how deeply loved I am
It’s too much..too great..too wide
Nothing deserved, only given through Grace
A love I can treasure and know and trust

This love is not weak
It has power, it knows no bounds
It casts out Fear
It challenges
It always protects, always trusts always hopes

This Love can never fail
This Love can never fail you
This Love will never fail you

You are so deeply, sacrificialy, unconditionally Loved.. Own it & Love Him back with all you have. We only know Love because he first loved us..
